Retreat

Some of us rented a little house in the country last weekend. It was tranquil and quiet and we had lots of space to ourselves and it was just great. We trolled around antique stores and walked along a beautiful old rail trail. We bought a lot of vegetables and cooked a delicious dinner (evidently the owner of the house is a collector of blue and white china). Sprout frolicked in the grass like a beautiful wild creature. We drove and drove to mythical "crystal" lake in the mountains, and when we got there, it was forty degrees. We filled our lungs with country air and skedaddled.

This seems a whole lot less fratty than our Hamptons vacation's going to be. Good choice.

Holly - Excited to see you tomorrow night!
Katie - Well, fratty vacations are fun, too.
