Dreaming of vegetables in tents

On Friday night we had a sleepover at Stiggy's, which was so fun. Delightful pizza party and divine conversation about the old days and about the new. He was such a gracious host, and Sprout was on surprisingly good behavior. She enjoyed the menagerie up there (it turns out that taxidermied animals are a lot of fun), and all the sights and sounds of an unfamiliar neighborhood.

In the morning, we had French toast and took a luxurious walk through the park. Everything is castle-like up there, including a huge apartment complex that we found, which boasts a broad lawn overlooking the Hudson. As it was relatively deserted, we let Sprout off her leash to run and play, and she galloped wildly back and forth on the grass, happily running figure eights around us. I have almost never seen her so full of glee. Shortly thereafter, the security guard gruffly informed us that 1) the lawn was for residents only, and 2) there were no pets allowed. I made some jokes about how he was the guardian of the castle, and we moved along. It was worth the trespass to see her snaggle teeth smiling.

I didn't know that you called Stephen Stiggy? I love it. Also,I don't think Sprout belongs with the other stuffed animals. She's so much more fun alive and trespassing.

Glad you guys had a good time. Wish I could have joined you!
