Up in the Alps, just back from the Scalps

Blissful ending days of vacation. Over the weekend we had some pals over for pizza and games. We attempted to play Cranium: Turbo Edition, and I was overwhelmed by all the different elements. And the clay had long dried up. It was a fun evening and Dan and Amanda brought some sick apple flavored soda. Interpret the "sick" any way you'd like. I bought an armchair and ottoman from my neighbor and have been luxuriating in them. Very comfortable. Had a short jaunt to the beach and finally watched The Orphanage, which was fun and scary and beautiful, but ultimately didn't make a ton of sense. Yesterday was the first day of classes--ugh. To celebrate Anastasia's birthday we got sushi, which I rarely eat, but every time I do, I enjoy it. How about that. It's kind of chilly around the house, but Sprout stays warm with her ingeniously-fashioned "snuggie" (made of an old sweater vest that Janet was going to give to Goodwill). Here she is in her lair, looking stoic and resolute.

sproutkins! when you said snuggie, i thought you were referring to that ridiculous blanket-with-sleeves being hawked all the place...actually once you watch about 5 infomercials for the thing you'll want to buy one.

Ha, ha! that was our idea. Sprout is SO tired of the hassle associated with regular blankets.

hilarious. this is the third reference to that blanket with sleeves phenomenon for me this week. the second one was from my mom, who mysteriously received a package full of them (and booklights) in the mail. with no invoice. she's sending them to me - score!
also, i think sprout might benefit from this: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=19577973 for fashion, if not for warmth.
