General Taggert strikes again

Aaron recently tagged me, and I’ve ignored enough of these requests over the years to finally be inclined to respond to one. I don't know how well I've done, though. Apparently the theme is 8, so here it goes:

Eight Favorite TV Shows:
1. Golden Girls
2. Gilmore Girls
3. Gossip Girl
4. Dexter
5. Top Chef/Project Runway
6. The Adventures of Pete and Pete
7. The Oprah Winfrey Show
8. Adoption Stories/Jon and Kate Plus 8

Eight Favorite Restaurants:
1. enids
2. Harefield Road
3. Napoli
4. Sojourner Café
5. Mara’s Homemade
6. Café Habana/Habana Outpost
7. The Smoke Joint
8. Super Cucas

Eight Things that Happened Yesterday:
1. Drew a picture with my new pen
2. Delivered a shoddy impromptu lesson about museum architecture
3. Used a postage stamp
4. Examined several maps of wireless telegraph routes circa 1913
5. Acquired two keys that open two doors
6. Helped plan an ill-fated outing to a haunted house
7. Went to bed too late
8. Talked with my brother and nephew on the phone

Eight Things to look forward to:
1. Seeing my family during winter break
2. Thanksgiving (including dressing the dogs up like pilgrim and Indian)
3. Finding reasonable paper topics for this quarter
4. Candy and kisses/washing dishes 24/7
5. Sleeping in on Saturday, then…
6. Going for a bike ride
7. Someday becoming a better cook
8. Study breaks

Eight things on my wish list:
1. New sneakers (off-white Converse low-tops)
2. That people will shut up about politics
3. Books of nice illustrations
4. A slightly smaller bike
5. New socks (argyles and stripes) without holes in them
6. Trips to see my far-flung family
7. A glamorous vay-cay
8. The beginnings of a new superball collection

Eight Things I love about the Fall:
1. Sweaters
2. Pumpkin carving and squash soup
3. The first (of two) semi-annual opportunities to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas
4. That smoky smell in the air
5. Reading The Halloween Tree
6. Hunkering down with warmer blankets
7. A renewed sense of [academic] discipline (even when you’re not in school)
8. Thanksgiving—past/present/future

Eight people I tag:
This part always feels creepily like a chain letter or pyramid scheme—even though it’s the only way that these surveys get perpetuated—so how about if you’re reading this, consider yourself next up. No pressure, though.

Is the T.V. list really true? I know Golden Girls is your favorite but you don't seem like a Gossip/Gilmore girl type. I realize things aren't always what they seem.
