BORE A HOLE THROUGH YOUR HEART AND LAY THE EGGS RIGHT THERE

Gosh, it's June already. I know this because 1) it was my birthday, which was commemorated in Prospect Park with many of my friends, and 2) the cubanelle plant languishing on my windowsill has sprouted a little white flower. Other signs of late spring/early summer include a fresh, wet coat of glossy red paint on many of the Siamese connections throughout the city, and the return of a roving band of frilly-collared Huguenots plaguing my dreams. This weekend, I opened up the middle section of our medicine cabinet (which I rarely do) and found that we have not one but two kinds of fake blood on hand.
