FATHER CHRISTMAS

This afternoon we were all shooting the breeze when we heard a large group of people cheering and whooping down on the street below. I believe the phrase from The Night Before Christmas is "there arose such a clatter." Initially we thought it was the teamsters, who are frequently peddling t-shirts and buttons with unattractive candid shots of GWB and sassy slogans on them. But not this afternoon. Today, when we looked out the window, we saw hundreds of people in Santa suits streaming out of The Irish Rogue. I guess they do it every year, carousing from bar to bar all day and then end up in Central Park. Ho ho ho.
