ELASTICITY & THE MODERN MAN

Today there was a brief jaunt with Connie to find the YMCA on Nagle, which was right where it was supposed to be, relatively close to a port-a-restaurant, where pig's snouts were prominently on display and where the woman was kind enough to let me use her bottle opener. It is hillier up there and all the shops in the vicinity of the bus station, coupled with the teens getting out of school and proudly sporting ensembles featuring "spilled paint" screenprints and re-issued vintage basketball shoes make you feel like you've stepped directly into the 80's, which is a lot more pleasant than I'd expected. Back to the days of giagantic swatches on the wall and pale turquoise being an acceptable shade for pleated shorts. Yeah, I don't mind that so much at all.
